Age 90, of Griffith, formerly of Highland, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Helen is survived by her children James Kane, of Griffith, and Janet (Wayne) Cable, of Griffith; grandchildren: Candice Wynecoop, Cindy (David) Hoestra, Carrie (Eric) Messmer, and Eric Cable; great-grandchildren: Jade, Stacy, Erin, Kayla, Jacob, Kaycie, Tyler, Declan, Jack, Cole, Anna, and Matthew; sisters Elaine (late Henry) Hales and Eleanor (late Charles) Tipton; sister in law Rita (late Frank) Tokarz; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her husband Michael and brother Richard Patterson.
Helen was a former President of the PTA and President of the United Methodist Women Organization. She was a Troop Leader involved with the Boy Scouts and Brownies.
