Helen Moore Willett Key, 88, of 1313 Woodland Dr. Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Sunday July 19, 2015. She was at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A native of Greensboro, NC, she was a daughter of the late Lucian Isaac and Rosa Johnsie White Moore and had lived most of her life in Reidsville. She was a former cafeteria manager at South End School and retired as a secretary for Big Apple Farm Supply. She was a member and volunteered many hours at First Presbyterian Church. She was honored with a Life Membership in the Presbyterian Women. She was a former member of a local Home Demonstration Club and a local Garden Club. She loved to do crafts and enjoyed supporting the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC.
Helen was preceded in death by her husbands: William Mark Willett and Walter Graydon Key, a son: Stephen Mark “Steve” Willett, a sister: Mary Vivian Moore Jones, and a brother: Olba John Moore.
Survivors include: step-son: Kerry G. Key and wife Carolyn of Reidsville, NC, step-daughters: Rebecca K. Cooley of Reidsville, NC and Lorene K. Childrey and husband Tom of Burlington, NC, a special niece: Betty Ruth Anderson-Strickland of Durham, NC, a granddaughter: Claudia M. Willett of Oxford, NC, a number of step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, and biological and step nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff and management of Highgrove Longterm Care Center, Hospice of Rockingham County, the Graydon Key family, Dr. Roy Fagan and Rev. Dr. Doug McLeroy for their caring support throughout Helen’s illness.
