Helen Marie Zwerman,91, of Clyde more recently of Republic, died at the Tiffin Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, December 16,2014.
Helen was born in Port Clinton on October 25, 1923 to the now deceased Edward and Luella (Masten) Cherry.
She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde; the American Legion Auxiliary, where she had served as President; Clyde VFW Auxiliary. Formerly she had been a Camp Fire and Blue Bird Advisor.
However, now she was an avid camper at Clinton Lakes.
On August 16, 1941, she married Richard E. Zwerman. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly (William) Albright, Clyde and Barbara (Dennis) Miller, Republic. Six grandchildren, Rick, Tom and Matt Albright; Dawn Luecke, John and Donnie Miller. Fifteen great grandchildren, Cassie, Matt, Kristin, Kyle, Tyler, Adam, Kaylee, Cade, Max, Alex, Gunner, Shelby, Wyatt, Rylee and Shelly, along with seven great great grandchildren, Maleiyah, Iyana, Jayden, Audrey, Mason, McKenzie and Ansley. One brother, Robert Jess survives in Limestone, Ohio.
Helen was preceded in death by her stepfather, Herman O. Jess, brothers, Theodore Jess; James Jess; sisters, Virginia Fick; Eileen Carnicom; Colleen Gilliam and Betty Moore.
