Helen Marie Nelson, 97, Rossville, died Saturday, December 15, 2007, in a local hospital. She had been a resident of Bentley Place in Rossville for 30 years coming from Coral Gables, Florida. Mrs. Nelson was of the Baptist faith and had been at National HealthCare before moving to St. Barnabas several months ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Nelson, brother, Richard Jenkins, sister, Pluma West, and a grandchild. She loved her family and will be sadly missed. Mrs. Nelson was most loved by her friends and family. Survivors are son, Edward Kirtis (E. K.) Wade, Madison, North Carolina; daughters, Reba Lee Smith, Flintstone, Mary Ruth Brown, Birmingham, Ala.; sisters, Grace West, Ruby Lance, Dorothy Sharpton, and Ruth Haggard, all of Higdon, Ala.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and close friends.
