Helen Nail-Carrico, nee, Devlin 96, formerly of Keyesport, IL passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 in Coulterville, IL. Helen was born on May 21, 1920 in Caseyville, IL, to James & Sarah Devlin. She was a homemaker who loved her family and her church. She enjoyed traveling to warmer climates during the winter and returning home each spring.
She enjoyed playing cards and doing crafts with her friends from Keyesport. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, was a lay minister and belonged to the Secular Order of St. Francis, Franciscans. Helen is preceded in death by her first husband; Russell Nail, second husband; Cecil Carrico, her parents; James Devlin & Sarah Ella Luppens, nee Short, a daughter; Mary (Jerry) White, a grandson, a great-grandson, three sisters and one brother.
Helen is survived by her children; Martha (Harry) Higgerson of Pinckneyville, IL, Russell (Connie) Nail of Lawtey, FL, Clarence (Nancy) Nail of Red Bud, IL, Jerry (Carol) Nail of Perryville, MO, eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to everyone at the Coulterville Care Center where Helen resided. We could never thank them enough for the loving care and comfort that enriched mothers life and also that of her family.
