Helen attended Cornell College and the University of Iowa earning her B.S. degree in business. She spent many of her working years as a librarian at a junior high school.

On September 24, 1942 Helen was united in marriage with Donald J. Menning in Waupun, Wisconsin. To this union three children were born: Michael, Richard, and Mary.

Helen had been living in Pella since 2001, most recently at Vriendschap Village. Prior to moving to Pella she lived most of her life in the Cedar Rapids area.

Helen’s husband, Don, preceded her in death in 2001.

Helen will be missed by her family and many friends.

Rejoice in hope,
Be patient in suffering.
Persevere in Prayer.
