Helen M. Lawrence, 96, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away on February 28, 2022 in Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle, Indiana. She was born on September 1, 1925, in Jefferson County, IL, to the late Edward R. and Harriet (Page) Mossberger. On June 25, 1977, she married Paul E. Lawrence, who preceded her in death on June 7, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Jane Smith of South Bend, IN; and her son, Gary V. (Margaret) Smith of Dowagiac, MI, many step children, grandchildren and step grandchildren. Helen was also preceded in death by son, Carl Edward Smith, and one daughter, Martha Loyce (Smith) Sordolet.
Helen was previously employed as an administrative assistant for several law offices. She was a member of Evangel Heights United Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place.
