Mrs. Helen M. Kranov, 85, of Ottawa, died Monday morning, September 24, at her home. Mrs. Kranov was born on September 2, 1922, in Herrin, Illinois, to Albert and Nell (Gordon) Gurley.
She married Dr. Donald S. Kranov on December 24, 1944, in Herrin. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Deer Park Country Club, and the Community Hospital of Ottawa Auxiliary.
Mrs. Kranov is survived by her husband, one son Jon (Renee) of Ottawa, two grandchildren, Shane (Leonore) of Chicago, and Karissa (Nick) Naas, of Manchester, England, and one great-grandson Sebastian Kranov.
She was preceded in death by a son Donald Stanley “Stan” Kranov, Jr., one sister, Martha Lindsay, and one brother Paul Gurley.
