Helen M. Freudenmuth, age 95 of Midland, died Friday October 25, 2013 at her residence. The daughter of the late James H. and Minnie A. (Franklin) Anger was born in Midland on February 13, 1918 where she was raised and educated. Helen was a member of First United Methodist Church, enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles, baking, cooking, going camping with her family and spending time with the grandchildren. On July 16, 1937 in Midland Helen married John F. Freudenmuth and after 71 years of marriage he died on September 27, 2008.
Surviving are her children, Michael D.(Barbara) Freudenmuth of Presque Isle, Michigan, Frances (Gerry) Kretschmar of Brentwood, Tennessee; grandchildren, Steven (Leigh Anne) Kretschmar, Kara (Casey) Jetton, Krista (James) Taylor, Derek Freudenmuth; great grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Daniel, Alexis, Emily, Joshua, Rebecca, Thomas, Chloe, William; brothers, Glenn Anger of Midland, Lyle (Donna) Anger of Waterford, Michigan. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by 2 great grandchildren, Sarah & Ryan Kretschmar; brothers, Duane and Eldon Anger; sisters, Elnora Grasley and Norene Card.
