Helen M. Bose, 94, of Freeport, died Thursday, November 17, 2011, at her home. Born September 13, 1917 in Freeport she was the daughter of Fred and Ruth (Reed) Propp. She married Robert C. Bose September 15, 1939 and he died November 5, 1988.Helen worked at Carl Sandburg School for 3 years. She was a secretary at Micro Switch for 10 years. Helen served as a Girl Scout Leader for 15 years and a Cub Scout Mother for 4 years. She was a volunteer for R.S.V.P. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ serving in the Choir, and Tau Alpha Class. Surviving are 2 daughters, Karen (Jon) Lorenz of Aurora and Kimberly Anne (Paul) Mysliwiec of Freeport; 2 sons, Dennis (Jean) Bose of Freeport and Terry W. (Laurie Roskam) Bose of Thomson; 1 sister, E. Jane Lehman of Freeport; 10 grandchildren, Dr. Krista Lorenz (Dan Jessen), Anna (Mark) Nesbitt, Kathy (Matthew) Phillips, Amanda (Jerry) Rubin, Ashley (Eric) Woker, Angie (Barry) Folgate, Albert Mysliwiec, Rachel Mysliwiec, Bobby Mysliwiec, and Thomas Mysliwiec; 8 great grandchildren, Ryan Jessen, Aaron Jessen, Kayleigh Nesbitt, Joseph Phillips, Katelynn Phillips, Payton Woker, Paxton Woker, and Harlan Folgate. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 1 daughter, Debra Kay; 1 sister, Anna Albrecht; and two brothers, Harold and John Propp.
