DURHAM Mrs. Helen Louise Ray, 87 of Durham, died on Monday, February 12, . Ray was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Johnnie Willard Jeffries and Myrtle Chisenhall Jeffries. She retired after 20 years from Honeywell Aerospace. She attended Freedom Baptist Church for many years. Helen enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling to the mountains and beach and most of all being with her family. Helen will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have known her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie David Ray; daughter, Teresa Lopez; brother, Roger Jeffries and sisters, Kitty Tilley and Linda is survived by her three children, Gail Murray, Brenda Sue Wallace (Bobby), and Kathy Arnold; brother, Johnnie Jeffries, Jr. (Jean); sisters, Thelma Norris, Bunnie Wrenn and Judy Reese (Rick); grandchildren, Joey Lopez, Tony Schlapak, Andrew Arnold, Hannah Arnold, Johnnie Arnold and many other loving family members and friends.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
