Helen Louise Lallemand was welcomed in the loving arms of her heavenly family on Thursday, September 26, 2013. She was born on July 11, 1930 in Silver City, New Mexico, to Charles and Bessie Pender. She married Andrew Jules Lallemand, on December 9, 1950. Helen was a member of Extension Homemakers for many years, serving in every office. She worked in the cafeteria in the Canon City Schools. She taught adult sewing and cake decorating classes at the community college. She was a den mother for cub scouts and campfire girls. She sewed many of our city flags flying in the community. Helen always had a sweet smile, encouraging words and a giving heart. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Helen is survived by her children, Marjorie Myers of Durango , CO, Wayne Lallemand, Larry (Denise) Lallemand both of Canon City, and Dale Lallemand of Salida, CO; honorary daughter, Lila Clemerson; grandchildren, Monica (Mark) Dixon, Trisha (Keith) Hickerson, Tonya Sly, Jessica (Brandon) Cruz, Amanda (Chris) Ferry, Justin (Maggie) Lallemand, Desiree Lallemand; great grandchildren, Allyssa and Kelsee Dixon, Kyle and Megan Hickerson, Savannah and TJ Sly, Brandon Jr. and MacKenzie Cruz, and Shania and Timothy Ferry; and brother, Ray (Grace) Pender; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. She was preceded by her husband; parents; sister, Betty Jean; and brother, George Rinick (Button).
