Helen Bohlman Leichliter, formerly of Upper Black Eddy, PA, died Tues., June 21, 2016 at the Laurels, Sellersville. She was the wife of John Mahlon Leichliter, Jr. who died October 3, 1989. Born on October 31, 1924 on the family farm in Pipersville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Amelia (Harke) Bohlman. A wonderful homemaker and hostess, she always greeted drop-in guests with delicious homemade treats. She had a garden full of plants that she transplanted from her girlhood home. She is survived by a daughter Patti Leichliter of Perkasie and a son, John Mahlon Leichliter III and his wife Claire of Bedford, PA; three granddaughters , Emily (Mrs. Brian) Berner of Meansville, GA, Kristy( Mrs. Jonathan) Macdonald of Cumming, GA and Amelia (Mrs. Jai) Henwood of Indialantic, FL; and seven great-grandchildren: Allison and Andrew Macdonald; Bethany and Bailer Berner; Annelise, Jai Mahlon and Oliver Henwood. She was preceded in death by brothers Otto and Lewis Bohlman and sisters, Martha Schaible, Ida Vanselous, and Margaret Killar Imboden.
