Helen L. Yeager, 94, of Freeport, died Saturday, October 23, 2004, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Born November 1, 1909 in Lena she was the daughter of Herman and Mable (Holmes) Uhe.
She married Oliver Yeager December 10, 1932 in Lena and he died November 6, 1997 in Freeport. She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Helen was a loving and caring person who enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors.
Surviving is her daughter, Mary Lou (Keith) Gerdes; 1 grandson, Robert Gerdes; 4 great great grandchildren, Samantha, Alicia, Roberta, and Jonathan Gerdes all of Freeport; sister in-law, Gladys Yeager of Rockford. Her parents and husband preceded her in death.
