Helen L. Redick, 97, of New Wilmington, formerly of St. Petersburg, died at 2:04 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Overlook Medical Clinic in New Wilmington.
Mrs. Redick was born on August 21, 1911 in St. Petersburg. She was the daughter of Percy L. and Mary Ellen Womer Boyd.
Mrs. Redick was of the Methodist faith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening.
She was married to Lloyd L. Redick on May 3, 1947 in Oil City. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1981.
Surviving is a son and his wife, Richard E. and Ailene Beichner, of New Castle; two grandsons, Robert L. Beichner, of New Castle and Richard A. Beichner and his wife Kimberly, of Colorado Springs, CO. Two great-grandchildren survive, Kaylyn and Matthew Beichner, also of Colorado Springs. In addition, a number nieces, nephews, and cousins survive.
Mrs. Redick was preceded in death by four sisters, Sally Karnes, Florence Goughler, Anne Grazier, and Lwella Boyd; four brothers, Arthur Boyd, Clarence Boyd, Leland Boyd, and Fred Boyd. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Claire Miller.
