Helen Louise Moore, 92, of Anderson, died February 20, 2013 in Hospice care at Monticello House Alzheimer’s Living Center.
She was born Helen Louise Watson on September 23, 1920 in Powers Station, Indiana and married Robert B. Moore on July 7, 1940. They were married 68 years. Helen was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church. She was a life member and past president of Community Hospital’s Auxiliary and served on the hospital’s board of directors. She was also a Pink lady having volunteered 17, 870 hours. Helen was also an excellent seamstress, baked wedding and theme cakes, enjoyed crochet, needlepoint and silk flower creations. She was also a life member and past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star #154.
Helen is survived by her three daughters, Marilynn Ralph Toliver of Dayton, TN, Cathy David Payne of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sandy Robert Vance of Alexandria, IN, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bowers Moore on June 20, 2009, her parents Earl and Goldie Dull Watson, siblings, Harry Watson, Oneita Siberry, Robert Watson, Kenneth Watson, Rosemary Franklin and Norma Richman, grandson, Doug Roof on March 3, 2011 and several nieces and nephews.
