Mrs. Helen (Miller) Johnson, 86, of Peru, formerly of Springfield, IL died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Manor Court in Peru. Mrs. Johnson was born on November 18, 1923 in Quincy, IL to Edgar and Bess (Cain) Miller. She married Orville John Johnson on December 29, 1945 in the Christian Church in Canton, MO. She was a member of the Christ of King Church in Springfield, IL.
She is survived by her husband Orville John of Peru; two daughters, Linda (Dennis) Thompson of rural Princeton and Vicki (Larry) Ingrassia of Brooklyn, NY; one son, Stephen (Carolyn) Johnson of Plano, TX; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Cleesen of Quincy, IL. She was preceded in death by one grandson, three brothers and one sister.
