Helen Jayne, formerly of Parks, passed away on July 13, 2009, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where she moved to be near her daughter, due to the death of her husband Jerry. She often showed off her collection of Magnets from the many places they had been. One of her dreams was a cruise, which they took to Alaska for their 10th anniversary. Helen also enjoyed train travel, in the first 11 years they lived in Parks she went from Flagstaff to Virginia Beach, Virginia, 9 times with stopovers in Chicago and Washington D.C. Between trips, she finally had all the time she wanted for reading novels, movies, outings with friends and a few crafts.
