Helen Geraldine Lauck SmithHelen Geraldine Lauck Smith, known to her friends and family as Jerre, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, March 27th at Misericordia Nursing Home in York, PA., after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, she was 84 years of age. Mrs. Smith was born on December 14, 1925 in Burlington, NJ., and lived the majority of her life raising her daughters in Moorestown, NJ.
She was avid reader, loved the New York Times crossword puzzles and was a Life Master Tournament bridge player. Daughter of the late George and Louise (Bassett) Lauck, and wife of the late John L. Smith, III, she is survived by her loving daughters; Melissa Smith Golden of York, PA., and Tracy Smith Ness of Chatham, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Meredith, Caitlin and Maggie Golden and Colin and Ryan Ness as well as her sister, Vera “Kiki” Cutry of Burlington.
