Helen F. Dunleavy
Helen (Fesh) Dunleavy, age 98, of Bethel, CT died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Filosa for Nursing and Rehab in Danbury. She was the widow of Harold J. Dunleavy, Sr.
She was born in Yonkers, NY, October 11, 1914, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Urban) Fesh. She was a lifelong Bethel resident and was a 1932 graduate of Bethel High School. At Bethel High, she played basketball and was proud to have been on the championship team there. She was a bookkeeper, helping her late husband at the family dairy and later at Dodgingtown Garage. A devoted homemaker and parishioner of St.
Helen is survived by her sons: Harold J. Dunleavy, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Port St. Lucie, FL, John T. Dunleavy and his wife Nancy of Bethel; daughters: Mary Ellen Nelson of Bethel, June D. Jones and her husband Ted of Bethel, Helen Berube and her husband Robert of Phoenix, AZ; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was predeceased by a son: Douglas V. Dunleavy.
