Helen Ernst, age 67, of Rensselaer passed away April 14, 2010 at the Jasper County Hospital, Rensselaer, Indiana. Helen was born September 13, 1942, in East Chicago, IN, the daughter of the late Antonio and Mae (Martinez) Garcia.
Helen had worked as a CNA for many years in the Health Care Industry. She was a member of the VFW, American Legion, the BPOE and AmVets.
Surviving is her daughter, Rondi M Wireman of Monticello and a son, William E. Ernst of Ozark, MO; brothers, Manuel, Charlie, Billy, Jackie and Gilbert Garcia and a sister, Marie Pack and five grandchildren Michelle and Michael Gibbs and Ally, Ethan and Elizabeth Ernst. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 children, Wanda Kay and Hancil Ray Wireman; 2 brothers Frank and Junior Garcia and a sister Deloris Arnett.
