Helen Elizabeth Smith Sibert born October 1, 1920 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Rhea Lindsay Dugan Butterfield Smith and Raymond H. Smith passed away March 5, 2013 in Palm Harbor, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her husband Major Dennis W. Sibert, and her two sisters Dorothy J O’Connell, and Mary Alice Nichols.

She was a retired communications manager for G & J Marketing in Palm Harbor, Florida.  She also enjoyed a long career with the Dekalb County School system in Alabama.

She is survived by loving daughters Denna Kay Day Meeks, Barbara Erskine, Sybil Freeman, Jayne Sidwell, and son in laws Stan Meeks, Ken Freeman, and Greg Sidwell. She leaves behind her granddaughter Tiffany Day Agee and great grandchildren Matt and Bryson. She also leaves behind her sweet poodle Coco.  She is also survived by several nieces that she thought of as her daughters.

Mrs. Sibert will be missed by the numerous friends and relatives she leaves behind.  She will be remembered for her giving heart and nature.  The beauty and love within her shines a light on us all.  Mrs. Sibert’s outstanding qualities of character and personality will remain guideposts for all her children.
