CHEEKDURHAM Mrs. Helen Kearns Cheek, 88, of Durham, died on Tuesday, November 30, . Cheek was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Vance and Lydia Hursey Kearns. Prior to retiring from the Grey Stone Baptist Church Daycare she was employed with Wrights Machinery. She attended the Gospel Center and Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar M. is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Andrews and husband, Bill, Lynda Aibijeris and Rebecca Ann Cheek; one sister, Mozelle Ewing of Durham; three grandchildren, Spyridon and Dianthe Aibijeris and Paul Steelman; great-grandchildren, Talan Aibijeris and Kaleigh and Griffin Steelman and several nieces and nephews.
