Helen C. Hooley, 92, of Terre Haute passed away July 8, 2021 peacefully at her home. She was born in Sullivan county on October 6, 1928, the eldest child of Wilbur D. Stevens and Beulah A. Riggs Stevens. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Rosanna Rooksberry, Dorothy Coleen Watts, Reah Lininger, and her brother Wilbur Stevens. She is survived by her husband, Carl Hooley; one brother Duanne Stevens. She is also survived by her sons Danny (Linda) Morin, Donnie (Belinda) Morin, and daughter Deanne (Brian) Tolbert. Helen’s passion was nursing, working at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Regional Hospital, and Union Hospital where she retired in June of 2004. Her other passion was music, especially gospel music.
