Helen Barzey, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Miami, passed away on July 23, 2021.
Helen was born in Willemstad, Curacao to the late John and Mildred Williams Barzey. She immigrated to the US in 2019, settling in Miami before relocating to Port St. Lucie in 2021 a few months ago.
Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed Dancing and listing to music, Helen enjoyed traveling and making new friends, and you would often see her smiling and telling jokes. Helen’s days were filled with laughter, Knitting, sewing, cooking, and baking.
Helen had a passion for food and she enjoy rice and peas along with all the different delicacies the Caribbean has to offer.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Marionella Barzey-Coggins, and her Late Life Partner, Hubert Martis, Late Son, Alden Barzey, her Grandchildren, Tyra Barzey, Linda Barzey & Elijah Barzey. Her son-in-law, Glenwood Coggins Jr. Her loving sisters, Beulah Barzey, Marjorie Williams, Egmacia Patrick, Viola Molina, and her late brother, Alphonso Barzey; her loving nieces and nephews, cousins, family members in the USA, Europe, and in the islands. Her friends in Curacao and in Holland.
