MAY’S LICK Helen A. Clary, 77 of the Shannon – Slip Up community passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was born on March 5, 1940 in Peebles, Ohio to the late Glen & Nancy Kirk Arthur.
A 1958 graduate of Maysville High School, Mrs. Clary was a talented Homemaker and devoted herself to many causes. She was always there for any project; whether it be to feed an army, lend a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, a patient ear to listen, or if necessary a stern word of encouragement. She enjoyed working in her garden and canning the fruits of her labor, she would often share her goods with those in her community.
Of all her activities and accomplishments, none made her any prouder than her family. At home on the farm tending to the day to day activities, and being a steadfast matriarch to her beloved family, and numerous friends was her gift to us all. Always with a smile, her joyous, sincere personality will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Step Father, Henry Parker, two half-brothers, Danny & Timmy Parker, and a special aunt Betty Linville.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years William L. “Dick” Clary, her sons, Steve (Beverly) Clary & Scott (Marcy) Clary, her grandsons Jacob & Nikolas Clary, her brother Jerry (Kay) Arthur, her half-brother, Rick (Bonnie) Parker, her half-sisters Shirley Henderson & Linda (Ray) Helton, and special aunts, Kay Roderick, Juanita Bickers, Frankie Day, Thelma Beckett, and several nieces and nephews.
