Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Helen Ann Probasco, left this earth into the arms of Jesus in the early hours of March 21st, 2021.

Helen was born to her late father Robert Furr and surviving mother Roberta (Dennis) Borden in 1956. She was 3rd out of 10 children.  Surviving siblings include Bob (Lucy) Furr, Arlene (Tom) Bowyer, Linda (Jerry) Fields, Diana Salazar, June Villinski, Don (Eva) Furr, David (Malou) Furr, Rosemary (Richard) Serie, and Teresa Irwin.

Helen graduated from Benton Central high school in 1974.

Helen married her best friend, Michael Probasco, on June 7th, 1975. Together Helen and Mike have three surviving children Vince (Elizabeth) Probasco, Scott (Fiancée Caitlin) Probasco, and Mary (Nelson) Davis.

Helen cherished and adored spending time with her eleven grandchildren and was mutually loved and adored by them.  Grandchildren include Lilyanne, Savannah, Emma, Raelyn, Gabe, Sam, Tim, Anna, Caleb, Rachel, and Ben.

Helen enjoyed being outdoors. She loved gardening, traveling, fishing, walking on the beach, and spending time with family.  She loved talking with people and had a knack for becoming instant friends with anyone she’d meet, often learning their entire life story within minutes of introducing herself.

Helen worked hard much of her life and only recently retired. She first worked at Pay Less grocery store then as an office administrator at Blessed Sacrament Church, and finally as an office administrator at Bundy McNear insurance in Lafayette, IN.

Helen attended St Ann’s Catholic Church in Lafayette.  Helen was a devout Christian and held tight to her rosary which she prayed regularly for those she loved and those who may have wronged her. Helen will be greatly missed by us all.
