Helen Ann (Barry) Dooley, 70, of LaSalle and Peru, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
Helen was born June 25, 1951 in Limerick City, Ireland to Patrick and Nora (Condon) Barry. She married David Dooley 45 years ago on December 11, 1976 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Limerick City.
Helen received an Associate’s Degree from Triton College and worked as a Dental Lab Technician at Dental Arts in Princeton. She was a very active member of St. Hyacinth’s Church in LaSalle and was active in the choir and prayer groups. Helen had a very joyful, prayerful and outgoing personality loved by all. Helen was very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed Irish Music, knitting, crocheting and quilting.
Survivors include her husband, David; four children, Brendan Dooley of Arlington, VA, Rochelle (Chris) Perrino of Cumming, GA, Maureen Dooley of La Salle and Catrina Dooley of Morris; four grandchildren, Sophia, Anthony, Gianna, and Lilliana; one sister, Breda (John) Ryan of Pallas Grean, County Limerick, Ireland; two brothers William (Carmel) Barry and Patrick Barry both of Limerick City, Ireland and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ita Collins and one brother John Barry.
