HELEN A. MCFADDEN MAY 3, 1920 – JULY 14, 2015

Helen was born on May 3, 1920, at home in Kirby, Wisconsin, to Otto and Amelia Boettcher and passed away at her daughter’s home in Sierra Vista, Arizona, July 14, 2015. Helen grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Tomah High School in 1938 and went to work for the local A&P Store where she met a customer, Robert McFadden, who would later become her husband. They were married in Washington, D.C. In 1944 after Robert’s OSS training on Catalina Island and before he left for Ranger training at Camp Polk, Louisiana. He then went on overseas assignments. On his return they were stationed at Ft. Holabird, Maryland, Ft. Clayton, Panama, Ft. Kobbe, Panama, and Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where Robert retired. They lived in Leavenworth until 1973 when they moved to Arizona to be near family. Helen is survived by her daughter, Susan Jamka (Ken), son, Richard McFaddan, and grandchildren Kevin Jamka (Virginia), Mizi Cook (Kevin), Erik Jamka, and Justin McFaddan (Amy); great-grandchildren Alex Cook, Caleb Cook, Mikaela Jamka, Isabella Jamka, Haley McFadden, Heidi McFaddan, Kevin Jamka, and Jack William Cook. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Tish McFadden, sister and brother-in-law, La Verne and Margaret Hendrickson, brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Arlene Boettcher, husband Robert, and daughter and son-in-law Richard and Patricia Cederberg.
