Hector G. Valverde, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was surrounded by his loving family when he went to be with the Lord.
Hector was born on March 31, 1948 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a graduate of Harlingen High School and proudly served the US Army in Vietnam. During his career, Hector received a technician’s certification at Texas State Technical Institute and then went on to own and operate several businesses and was most recently in Auto Sales just prior to his retirement in 2010. Hector loved fishing, barbequing and spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria De La Luz Gamble, his brothers Juan and Oscar Valverde and his sister, Adelaida Anguiano.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Maria Estela of Harlingen; his son Jaime (Christina) Valverde of Houston, his son Juan Carlos (Daniela) Valverde of Harlingen, his son Hector Hugo (Carla) Valverde of Arlington, TX, his 8 grandchildren: Gabriela, Alejandro, Christian, Daniela, Anthony, Aubrey, Abby and Melanie; and his nieces and nephews.
