He is survived by his wife Maria Dolores Chavez; parents, Guillermina and Jesus Chavez; his 3 sons Gerardo, Heber Abdon, and Ivan Chavez; his daughter Claudia Chavez; brothers, Cesar, Jose Luis (Veronica), Servando (Karla), and Caleb (Ruben).
