Hazel P. Pinto, 83 of Allentown died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Phoebe Home. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Pinto Jr. who died in 2000. Born on January 8, 1932 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Franklin D. and Mae (Martin) Rothrock. She was a housekeeper for 25 years and following her retirement she volunteered at the Gift Shop at St. Luke’s Hospital. Hazel was a member of St. Theresa’s of the Child Jesus Church, Hellertown where she devoted her time to the Church Guild and also helped at the Hellertown Community Center. Surviving are her loving children, Zel Shifter of Bethlehem; Angela Howard of Bethlehem; Joe Pinto and wife Caroline of Hellertown; daughter-in-law, Joanne Pinto of Bethlehem; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Kies and husband Alton of Bethlehem; Becky Hawkins of Emmaus; Rickey Martin of FL. She was predeceased by son, Manuel Pinto; daughters, Regina Pinto; Rosemarie Henry, and brothers, Robert, Franklin, Theodore, Joseph Rothrock.
