Mrs. Hazel Orrick Lashley, age 92, of Lanett, AL passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley, AL.
Mrs. Lashley is survived by her seven nieces and nephews, Jean Hammock (Bill) Leverett of West Point, GA, Helen Hammock Biggers of Valley, Al, Shirley Orrick (Bobby) Boggs of Cedar Mountain, NC, Gail Orrick (John) Templin of Silver Springs, MD, Steve Lashley of Lawrenceville, GA, Denise (Frank) Taylor of Carrollton, GA, and Robin (Charles) Morman of Grayson, GA; numerous great nieces and great nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred L. Lashley; five brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Lashley was born on August 7, 1924 in Lanett, AL to the late Hazie Clem Sherman Orrick and Dowdle Orrick. She was a very active member of the Lanett Congregational Christian Church. She was a retired employee of West Point Stevens Lanett Mill who greatly enjoyed sewing and craft work. She loved all her nieces and nephews.
