Hazel M. Stepp, 98, formerly of the 2300 block of W. Fourth St. Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Williamsport Home, where she had resided for the last seven years.
Born April 4, 1912 in Avis, she was a daughter Charles and Jennie (Earon) Heck. She was a 1932 graduate of Jersey High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ira H. Stepp, who died in 1986, and by son Richard Stepp who died in 2007, and four siblings Erma Powell, Edward Heck, Ross Heck, and Richard Young.
Surviving are two daughters Charlene Grittner of South Williamsport, and Janice Britt (Doug) of Lake Worth, FL, five grandchildren Beth George of Pennsdale, Kim Sjokovist of FL Karen Lucchesi of FL, Marc Stepp of FL and Denise Torrey of VA, three great grandchildren Zach, Mick, and Stephanie, a daughter-in-law Hope Stepp of Fl, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Williamsport Home, Dr. Hofstrom, and Southern Care Hospice for their care and support for their mother during her time there.
