On December 24, 1970 a beautiful bright light shone into the lives of many. However, on Thursday December 8, 2022 that beautiful light went out far too soon, leaving us grief stricken and heartbroken.
Hazel Lynn Barfield aged 51 was born in Atlanta Georgia to the late James and Pearl Barfield, then youngest of nine children. She graduated from Jonesboro Senior High in 1988 and went on to attend the University of Georgia. She follows four sisters, Mrs Marianne Redding, MS Debbie Barfield, Mrs Shelia Parker and Mrs Willie Brown. She leaves to mourn two brothers, older brother James Barfield and wife Janet and Al Barfield and wife Shirley. Two sisters; older sister Ollie Barfield and Shirley Barfield. Two very special nephews Brad Barfield and Timo Huhta. An Aunt and uncle Ms Mary Jane Henderson and Wilbur Henderson. Very special nieces Mrs Adrienne Harris and a host of nieces and nephews.
So many wonderful friends who she loved so very much Ron and Tommy, Jim and so many more who meant everything to her.
She will be truly missed every day of our lives for the rest of our lives. But that beautiful smile and all the wonderful memories will forever live on in our hearts.
On behalf of the Barfield family we just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all her many friends and the LGBT community for the love that you have shown for Lynn. I know she is looking down and feeling elated! Your love and support has overwhelmed us a family. Knowing she had so many friends who loved and adored her as much as we do and always will. It has helped us in ways words can’t express. So again, we thank you and will forever be grateful to you.
