Hazel Lucille (Miller) Boyles, age 88, of Route 4, Grafton, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the home of her caretaker, Donna Boyce. She was born at Valley Furnace, Barbour County, WV, June 8, 1925, a daughter of the late Albert David Miller and Della (Bolyard) Miller. Her husband, Thomas Porter Boyles, preceded her death March 6, 1978. Mrs. Boyles was a member of the Harmony Grove Baptist Church and had attended the Rock Alter Church. She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are: two sons, Junior Dale Boyles and wife Maryann, of McGee, Walter Elmer Boyles and wife Marlene Ann, of Fairmont, and Wilma Peters, of Grafton; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one son in law, Ben Ekis, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: one daughter, Lorida Jean Ekis; two grandchildren; six siblings, Roy Miller, Hettie Runner, Frank Miller, Dorsey Miller, Howard Miller, and Henry Miller. The Boyles family would like to send a special thank you to the following, who helped care for our mother in the last years of her life: Donna Boyce, caregiver with whom she made her home; caregivers, Linda, Libby, and Wanda; the Taylor County Senior Center; and Hospice Care Corp. of Taylor County. We would like all of you to know that your loving kindness and compassionate care is unsurpassed and will never be forgotten.
