Hazel L. Ritchey, 79, of 2006 Federal Avenue, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at The Gatehouse Hospice following a brief illness.
Hazel loved to read, do needlework, crocheting and play bingo. She was a former member of the Williamsport Moose and the Women’s Aux. of the First Ward Fire Company.
Born November 30, 1929 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Clarence and Emma Mann Hill.
Surviving are her sons, Richard E. and David E. L. both of Williamsport, James W. (Doris), with whom she lived and Charles A. (Gail) of Linden; brothers, Clarence (Lillian) Hill of Williamsport, William Hill of Ind. and Daniel (Cathy) Hill of Elimsport; sisters, Esther (Kenneth) Feaster and Norma Jean Reck both of Montgomery; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Hazel was predeceased by her husband, James A. Ritchey in 1991 and a brother Joseph Hill.
The family would like to thank Gail and Doris for their help and support and appreciated the special care Hazel received from the Angels at the Gatehouse.
