Hazel Louise Hansen Miller Hatfield passed away at the age of 94, on October 18, 2017, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Louise was born on July 7, 1923 in Blowout, Idaho.  Louise was the eldest of 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. Her parents were Jarious Hyrum Hansen and Hazel (Shelton) Hansen.  

She lived in Grand Valley, later the Palisades Resevoir, near the Alpine, Idaho-Wyoming border. She and her sister, Mary, herded sheep when they were younger. She worked at the potato factory in Idaho Falls, Idaho, for a short time and several businesses in Swan Valley.

She married Lawrence R. Miller on March 1, 1945 and was blessed with two girls and two boys. They lived near Alpine until the Palisades Lake was put in and then moved to Irwin, Idaho, where she raised her family. Lawrence later passed away and she remarried on April 7, 1978 to Howard Rulon Hatfield in Elko, Nevada.

In October of 2008, she moved to Libby, Montana to live with her daughter, Donna Kay Futrell.

She is survived by two daughters,
Mary Lou (Tom) Cooper of Rigby, Idaho;
Donna Kay (Conrad) Futrell of Libby, Montana;
son, Ernie J. (Cindy) Miller of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 
15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchild, 1 great-great grandchild.
She is survived by a sister in law, Linda Hansen and several nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her first husband, Lawrence Miller, two young sisters, Lila and Elsie, brother, Jarious Hansen, and sisters, Mary Winnefield Munson and Gloria Dawn McVey, son, Larry R. Miller, and a second husband, Howard Hatfield.
