Hazel (Batty) Carr, 95, of Granville, formally of Peru, passed away September 28, 2011 at IVCH Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Carr was born on February 22, 1916 in Oglesby to Evan and Sophia (Hocking) Batty. She married William Carr on October 4, 1941 in Kankakee. She was a member of South Bluff Golf Course in Oglesby.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda (Jim) Kardas of Granville; one son, William Carr, Jr. of Helena, Montana; 5 grandchildren, Amy Raines, Michael Kardas, Kristy Felde, Erin Angove, and Andrew Carr; 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William on January 19, 1981; one granddaughter, Wendy Carr; two brothers, Russell and Ralph Batty; one sister, Mildred Richards.
