Hazel C. Tibball, age 93, of Salem, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Circle of Care in Salem. She was born July 27, 1920 in Jackson Center, Ohio, daughter of the late Bertha Waltz and foster parents, Laurits and Alfrieda (Peters) Pederson. She was employed from 1936 to 1946 in the office of her foster father who was a chiropractor. Hazel was a member of the Holy Trinity English Lutheran Church, former member and past president of L.C.W. and member and past matron of Faith Court, Order of Amaranth #43. Her husband, John A. “Jack” Tibball, whom she married March 9, 1946, preceded her in death August 11, 1991. A half sister also preceded her in death. Survivors include a half sister, Mrs. Lowell Weymouth of Rocky Hill, Connecticut; a special niece, Mary Carnahan, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Donna and Jim Forney and family.
