Mrs. Hazel Berniece (Coats) Wilson, 96, of Oglesby, passed away Tuesday evening, March 15, 2011 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley. Mrs. Wilson was born on July 15, 1914 in Adair, IL to Fred and Lena (Arnold) Coats. She married Bennie Wilson of August 31, 1938 in Adair, IL.
Hazel retired from Horizon South Oglesby where she worked as a cook. She is survived by two daughters, Janet (Tom) Redshaw of Oglesby and June (Jerry) Dimery of Dover, TN; two sons, Paul Wilson of Shanghai, China, and Donald (Linda) Wilson of Oglesby; 8 grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Bradley Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Amanda Ziller, Benjamin Wilson, and Jeremy Dimery; and 7 great-grandchild, Reese Wilson, Logan Wilson, Andrew Ziller, Madeline Ziller, Gene Wilson, Autumn Alm, and Jonathan Alm; and her two daughter in-laws, Linda Wilson of Hot Springs, AK and Ruthie Wilson of Ames, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie on January 31, 2001; one son, Bennie Wilson; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
