Hattie Mae Massingill, age 86, of Resaca, Georgia passed away Monday, October 28, 2019. She was born on May 25, 1933. She attended Eleventh Ave Baptist church for 61 years. Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Massingill; parents, Jessie and Lucy Roderick; brothers, Wayne Roderick, James Roderick; sisters, Mary Ann Roderick, Helen Joyce Fox; and a son in law, Walter Shipman. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Yvonne and Terry Shelton of Dalton, GA; brother and sister in law, J.C. and Mary Sue Roderick of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Melba Ruth Anderson of Cleveland, TN, Shelba Jean Cole of Cleveland, TN; brother in law, Rev. Paul Fox of Cleveland, TN; brother in law and sister in law, Troy and Barbara Massingill Resaca, GA; grandchildren, Kristy and Jimmy Davenport, Chris and Mika Caldwell, Brandi and David Saylors; great grandchildren, Trae Davenport, Kaeden Davenport, Addison Davenport, Dawson Caldwell, and Gracison Saylors. The family would like to thank the staff of Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home for the last 3 years of great care.
