Born in Duplin Co., she is the daughter of the late George and Janie Ashford Brunson.
She was a retired educator and taught students in the Duplin and Sampson County school systems.
She leaves to cherish loving memories to her daughters, Susie Smith Williams(Ronnie) of the home and Delphine McLamb of Faison; five grandchildren, Brandon Smith of Raleigh, Mya Williams of the home, Rene Lewis (Thomas) of Faison, Denise Blue (Tony) of Wilmington and Sherwood McLamb of Durham; three great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; one sister, Helen Penn of Brooklyn, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
