Harvey was born on June 19, 1944 in Peoria, a son of Martin E., Sr. and Bessie C. (Nott) Mitchell. His parents preceded him in death, along with one brother, Martin E. Jr. Mitchell and a sister, Nellie L. Mitchell.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean, son, Harvey II (Angela), Christiansburg, Virginia and daughter, Tara L. (Billy) Sample, Peoria. Two brothers, Edward (Patricia) Mitchell, Craig (Deloris) Mitchell and one sister, Victoria Mitchell, all of Peoria, six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Harvey worked for over 35 years at Central Illinois Light Company (AMEREN).
Cremation has been accorded.
