Harvey D. Stamper, age 85, of Whippoorwill Lane, Wellington, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at Morgan County ARH in West Liberty.
He was born June 4, 1935, in Wolfe County, a son of the late Tom and Bertha Ferguson Stamper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Devonna Sue Back Stamper, who passed away March 13, 2016; six brothers, Hirman, Earnest, Ralph, Tommy, James “Curt”, and Eugene “Gene” Stamper; and three sisters, Alta Lawson, Mildred Fields, and Bernice Botts.
Harvey is survived by six sisters, Corinne Manning, Bonnie Golden Simpson, and Debbie Spencer, all of Frenchburg, Christine Simpson and Fern Sallie, both of Wellington, and Wilma Back of Mt. Sterling; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
He was a farmer and a former employee of Whites Lumber Company. Harvey enjoyed woodworking and making and selling crafts with Sue at various festivals. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
