Mr. Bottoms died Friday, October 28, 2011, at his home in Belton. Mr. Bottoms was born July 9, 1954, in Cherry Point, North Carolina, the son of Harvel H. Sr. and Lizzie Marie Hatcher Bottoms. He married his loving wife, Kathy Taegel Bottoms, March 30, 1979 in Belton.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1973 until 1975. He has lived in central Texas all his life and attended Miller Heights Baptist Church with his family. Mr. Bottoms was an avid outdoorsman and a great father, husband and friend. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diana Bottoms.
Survivors include his loving wife; two sons, Jeffery Lynn and James Thomas Bottoms; one daughter, Amanda Kathleen Bottoms; three brothers, George Lee, Jerry Wayne, and Ray Charles Bottoms; four sisters, Ida Marie Cross, Cynthia Ann Allen, Mary Diane Karl, Kay Carol; and nine grandchildren.
