Hartle Cain Jr. was born in Limestone County, Alabama on March 9, 1934 to the late Hartle Cain Sr, and May Etta Allen Cain. He departed this life on May 19, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.
He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from the City of Decatur as a sanitation worker.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Martha Brown Cain; one son, Gnester Brown; six brothers, Aaron, Roosevelt, Robert, Homer, Leo and Elmer Cain.
His memory will always live in the hearts of his beloved children; Celester Brown of Decatur and Helen Brown of Cleveland, OH; two loving and devoted grandchildren, the Reverend Edward and Doris Franklin of Decatur; two aunts, Vunny Mae Horton and Blanche Etta Williams both of Nashville, TN; two nephews, Glen Earl (Mattie) Cain and Melvin Cain both of Decatur; one niece, Bernice (Robert) Mason of Tanner; two extended nieces, Mae (Roy) Davis and Janet (Carl) Murrah of Athens and a host of grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends.
