Harry Talcott Rhodes, Jr., 96, of Old Saybrook, widower of the late Irene M. (Guthrie) Rhodes, passed away Monday (Jan. 19, 2015) at the Harrington Court GHC Center in Colchester.
Born Nov. 28, 1918 in Hartford, he was a son of the late Harry and Arvella (Beard) Rhodes, Sr.
In October of 1939, Harry enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a Photographer’s Mate 1st Class for six years during World War II before his honorable discharge in November of 1945.
