Sproviero, Dr. Harry Kenneth Sproviero, age 86 of Lawrence, MA and formerly of Bridgeport, died January 25, 2005 in Lawrence General Hospital. Dr. Sproviero was born in Bridgeport and was a 52 year resident of Black Rock before moving to Lawrence, MA two years ago. After graduating from Palmer Chiropratic School in Illinoishe joined his father’s practice, Sproviero and Sproviero in Bridgeport. Dr. Sproviero was a past president of the CT Chiropractor’s Association and served on the Ethics and Review Committee. He was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for the CT Chiropractor’s Association. A WWII Army veteran, he was stationed in Italy. A nature lover, he and his late wife, Gwen spent many hours hiking in VT and watching the waterfowl at St. Mary’s By the Sea. He erected the Osprey house which is located on the Island at Ash Creek. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter , Sherril Mullins. Survivors include his children , Susan G. Sproviero of Hyde Park, MA , Stephen M. and his wife, Alice Sproviero of Lawrenceville, N.J. and Scott T. Sproviero of Lawrence, MA with whom he resided, five grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren and two nephews.
