Harry Brown Owen, Jr., age 67, of Thomasville, NC went to be with the Lord on Thursday February 7, 2013 at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.
He was born February 13, 1945 in Thomasville, NC, a son of the late Harry Owen, Sr. and Florence Geneva Swing Hollifield.
He was a veteran of the US Army where he served during the Korean War. While in Korea, he patrolled the DMZ for a sixteen mile stretch.
After his military service, he was owner and operator of his own 18 wheeler. He hauled gravel and loose rock for several different contractors.
Harry enjoyed fishing and hunting tremendously.
Left to cherish his memories is his daughter: Karen Lewis and husband Tony of Sophia; three grandchildren: Daniel Lewis and girlfriend Paula Johnson of Thomasville, James Kennedy III and Tori-Grace Lewis both of Sophia.
